There are many theories out there surrounding the possibility of life on Mars. For my project it thought it important to look into and consider some of these for the development of my work.
There is the famous face on Mars that has been an area of speculation for decades. Located in the Cydonia region of Mars it has made it's way into pop culture many times including films such as Mission to Mars (2000) and Tv such as The X Files.
With advances in technology we are able to gather more and more information about the surface of Mars, including more and better quality images. With this many theories have arisen in response to shapes and forms seen in the images from the rovers that have been sent to Mars over time. Theories of pyramids. monoliths and strange figures being seen in the images sent back to Earth sparked further tales of life being presents, or once present, on Mars.
