Viewing the world through another eyes is an almost impossible task, however for terms of entertainment first person animation, gaming and VR is a great way to explore worlds snd become a character.
There are many games that involve use first person animation in RPG games to immerse the player in the action. Fewer examples of films exist, however often first person views through cameras is used. For example Cloverfield uses a camera at points throughout the movie. Doing this gives the viewers sense of being in the room and experiencing the action.
it's very effective when used correctly, in small sections such as in Cloverfield it transforms the viewing experience.
