Microcosms

Microcosms- noun. a little world; a world in miniature (opposed to macrocosm). anything that is regarded as a world in miniature. human beings, humanity, society, or the like, viewed as an epitome or miniature of the world or universe.

The idea of microcosm I find fascinating. Small world compressed into a tiny size. I'd like to try and use this idea in my work in the future, I have touched upon it before in my first project in creating environments within objects such as pumpkins. These spaces are different than anything iv'e been researching. These worlds could perhaps fall into the definition of heterotopias or utopias, but only in some circumstances.
